Daily Things is a shared organiser for private groups. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.

What we collect, and why

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, financial data, browsing or search history, or usage analytics.
Who can see it
The people in your groups
Anything you add to a group is visible to the members of that group. Items in your personal Inbox are visible only to you until you move them into a group. Groups are invite-only, and nothing in Daily Things is public or discoverable by strangers.
Our service providers
These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide the service:
- Supabase — hosts the database and handles sign-in.
- Expo push service — routes notifications to Apple on our behalf.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivers notifications to your device.
Nobody else
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if we are legally required to.
How it is kept safe
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS.
- Access is enforced in the database itself with row-level security, so an account can only ever read or write the groups it belongs to — not just in the app, but at the data layer.
- Invitation links are randomly generated and unguessable, expire after 14 days, and can be revoked at any time.
Your choices
Get a copy of your data
Me › Export my data in the app produces a copy you can save or send anywhere.
Delete your account
Me › Delete account in the app permanently deletes your account, the groups you own together with their shared items and history, and the items you created in other people's groups. Your authorship on other people's items is anonymised. You do not need to email us, and it cannot be undone.
Control notifications
Every kind of notification can be turned on or off individually in Me › Notifications, and all of them can be switched off in iOS Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed as described above. Content you contributed to a group somebody else owns may remain in that group in anonymised form, so the group's history still makes sense to the people still in it.
Children
Daily Things is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than the one you live in, with appropriate safeguards in place.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app.
