Spinner — Privacy Policy

Spinner does not collect your personal data. It has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.

Information the app stores

Spinner saves your current wheel — the question you asked and the options you added — along with wheels you have cleared and a short history of recent results. This is written to the app's private storage on your own device so the app can reopen where you left off.

• It is never transmitted to the developer.
• It is not backed up to any service run by the developer.
• It is removed when you delete the app from your device.
• You can clear it at any time by removing options or tapping “New wheel”.

If you have your device's own backup enabled (for example iCloud Backup or Android Backup), this local data may be included in that backup. That backup is controlled by you and your operating system vendor, not by Spinner.

Microphone and speech recognition

Spinner can take your question and your options by voice. The microphone is only ever active while you have explicitly started dictation by tapping a microphone button in the app, and it stops when you tap stop, tap done, or leave the screen.

Speech is turned into text by your device's operating system, not by Spinner:

• On iOS, this uses Apple's speech recognition service. Apple may send the audio to its servers to perform the recognition. This processing is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• On Android, this uses the speech recognition provider installed on your device, which is usually Google. That processing is covered by that provider's privacy policy.

Spinner does not record audio to a file, does not keep a copy of the audio, and does not send the audio or the resulting text to the developer or to any third party of its own. The recognised text is used only to fill in the question and option fields you can see on screen.

You can refuse or later revoke microphone access in your device settings. The app remains fully usable by typing.

What Spinner does not do

• No user accounts, sign-in or registration.
• No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No location, contacts, photos, calendar or health data.
• No selling or sharing of personal information.

Children

Spinner is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing to request, correct or delete from the developer. The data described above is entirely under your control on your own device, and deleting the app removes it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new “last updated” date.
